Take a second and give your congratulations to the winners!

I want to take a moment to remind everybody that both these prizes were graciously donated by Leo Todeschini of Tod's Stuff. He donated these prizes without being asked to do so. We were contacted one day and told that he made a couple things and wanted to give them away as prizes. Good stuff.

Stay tuned for more contests here at myArmoury.com!

Congratulations to both Jean and Tim! The prizes are prime examples of good old fashion craftsmanship.

Nathan...Thanks for your work, and that of others(?), for these staging these contests. I consider them to be a really great bonus.

Regards,
Dan

Congratulations, Jean and Tim. The prizes have gone to two guys who can appreciate their quality.
Congrats to the winners! That is neat that this website has contests like that. I joined a little while ago so that I could view the photos in the AWESOME reviews section.

Well I will avoid that mistake and congratulate Tim first and avoid an Oooooops. ;)

Came back yesterday from a cutting party afternoon of fun and melon/various fruits slaughter and after cleaning my swords just went to bed early wiped ...... got up at around 4:00 A.M. and decided to have a look at e-mails and saw that I had a P.M. from Nathan: The rest is " history ". :D

Oh, and yes I'm very VERY happy with this dagger and I want to thank Leo's generosity in giving this one and the other very nice knife as prizes.

Usually everybody makes a point to say " I never win anything " but I will say that the " winning " of stuff or money is a rare event for me or anyone since the odds of winning are usually small, but this is the nicest thing I ever won and it does make it even more special that it is a prize from this very great site: A great place to learn new things and I have also made many good friends here and sort of have " OVERWORKED " my writing skills over the years. ;) :D ( Thank God for the spell checker which catches the worst of my Typos before I post, and sometimes after I post when I go back and edit later ! ).

Thanks to Nathan for creating and maintaining such a great site and the work, sweat and his own money he has invested here and he should be very proud of what he has created and the high quality of the membership who can converse in an entertaining, educational and respectful way.

Anyway, time to stop gushing away here and again I have to say how pleased I am with this prize.

Oh, I guess " contest winner " can now be added to the list on my " profile " stuff under my Avatar pic. :p ;)

( EDITED: Just noticed that this post is my 4500 one ! I just love hitting a nice round number coinciding with winning !
Oh, and this was added later using the edit function. )
As a previous winner of one of these great contests I offer a hearty congratulations to both Jean and Tim! The fact that Nathan and Chad work with the great people who make the items we so love to get them to donate them so that they can be given away as prizes is truly great. Just one of the many reasons that this is my favorite site when it comes to anything related to medieval arms and armor. Keep the great contests and people going!

Well, I think I understand what you mean but I don't think Nathan or Chad actively ask people to donate prizes but they do " work " with them in the sense of being appreciative of makers or others who decide to contribute prizes on their own.

In some cases Nathan gives away prizes he has paid for himself or pieces of his personal collection.

But in the spirit of thanking Nathan for a great site I fully agree with you. :D

I kinda liked your old moniker of "forum novelist" but "contest winner" is pretty darn nice! I'm very happy to have it as my moniker!
Congratulations to both winners! Those are two very nice prizes.

Yeah, Nathan is the one who is the creative one and changes this to various monikers ( Sort of an inside joke ).

At one time it as " Verbose " or " Sir Posts a Lot ": Funny thing I just noticed today the " Forum Novelist " one and I guess if all my posts where put together it might well match a novel's word count. ;) :p :D
Congratulations Jean and Tim! This couldn;t happen to two more deserving people! Except me, maybe.
In all sincerity, I'm glad you won these pieces, they've gone to good homes.
Congrats to both of you, just wish my name was Jean or Tim .... LOL!
