It's not too late and gives us enough to lock in the $120 price.

Boydell just released a printing of it, according to an email I received from them yesterday. So, I hope to have the 10 copies in hand in a few weeks. The binder will need a few weeks to do their things as well.

If we get 5 more people before I take everything to the binder we can get another $5 off per copy ($115, much less than the $250-275 hardcover editions go for these days). If we get up to 13 or 14 commitments, I'd order the extra copies myself to get is top 15 and hope to sell them later. But I can't spend the money on 5 extra copies on the off-chance I might be able to sell them. Now's the time for folks to chime in if they want a copy. Happy

Chad,

I'm not sure if you saw my post saying I would like a copy. I also PM'd you but haven't heard back. Your count makes me think you might have missed both.

Chris,
I never received a PM from you. Strange. But you are counted in my count from your post in this thread. You were #9. Now we have 10. Happy

An update on this project.

Boydell has begun shipping copies of the reprint, though Amazon hasn't received them yet (they estimate mid-July). Amazon has the best price I've found, so I'm holding out for them to get theirs in. I did order a few new copies through Amazon's Marketplace and discovered that this new printing has lost a little quality from my older copy. Boydell has switched the title to digital printing, which seems to be the culprit.

Needless to say, I'm disappointed that new copies aren't quite up to the standard of the older versions. But that's what's available for new copies these days... They're not awful by any means, but aren't quite as crisp and clear as the older copies.

With that in mind, I'm open to tweaking this whole thing a bit. If anyone has a used copy you'd like to have rebound, I'll do it (even though I pooh-poohed the idea earlier). The only way to make this work is to have people print their names clearly inside the back cover of the book before sending it to me so I can get the copy back to you. Unmarked books won't work. I'm afraid this will have to be limited to sound copies (ie. copies not ripped/torn, in poor shape, etc.).

The price for rebinding your used copy would be what's been quoted, minus Amazon's price for a new copy: $120 - $37.80 = $82.20 (plus shipping/handling and PayPal fees, if any).

For folks who've already agreed to buy new copies, let me know if you'd like still to have a rebound new copy, or want to send an existing copy for rebinding, or if you'd rather not hassle with any of this any more.

My goal is to have everything ready to go to the binder by the end of July.

Happy

I'm still in, as well.

Don't mind the wait, either... that's rather financially beneficial for me at the moment!

I am still in for a new copy Chad. The way I see it, if you have never owned a copy how will you be able to tell it is not as crisp as an older copy? Cool At least I will have one finally.

If there's anyone else who wants in on this, whether to have a new copy rebound or to have their existing copy rebound, now is the time to let me know. Happy I'm trying to finalize quantities and make sure I have enough copies (and enough cash on-hand to buy all the copies and pay for the binding up-front).

Great! Thanks!

There are still a couple of folks that I haven't heard from. Hopefully they'll weigh in soon.

Assuming they're still in, we just need a few more people to commit in order to knock the price down to $115.

O.K. I have one for me but how about my paying for an extra copy to donate as a prize Nathan can give away in the next fund drive ? ( So in that case that would be two copies I would be paying for ).

Jean,
That's very generous. Thank you. We're inching closer and closer to having enough people to drop the price to $115 each. Hopefully that will happen.

We need one more person to get the price break... Just one, though more are welcome, of course. Happy
