For lack of a better way to describe things, is there any interest in getting some people together to do a bit of sword show and tell, and perhaps a bit of light cutting, sometime in the next 30-45 days?

I'm in West-central Ohio. About 30 minutes West-ish of Columbus. Its been a couple of years since I freaked out the neighbors, and if we all survive my son's pending graduation party, they're long overdue for some eccentricity. The last one of these I did was an Albion Round Table. This event would not be affiliated with Albion or any other vendor, so it would just be the swords and stuff that people bring with them at the event.

Thoughts?

Definitely haven't had one of these in awhile. I'm game! The latter-half of July will most likely be good for me; so far August is wide open. Whatta ya say Chad? Big Grin

I'm up for it. Sundays are usually better than Saturdays, though it really depends on the weekend in question. Happy

I can bring whatever people want to see. I have some new daggers/knives since the last gathering and the same assortment of swords as last time. Have we settled on a date?

I'd be glad to attend, if it doesn't conflict with my reenactment schedule. Weekend days are a possibility, just select the dates, and I'll check what works for me.

I'd be happy to bring a few different swords for "testing". Looking forward to seeing everyone from the Pumkin Fest again!

Cheers,

Christopher

Hmm, that weekend may not work for me. What about Sunday, July 26th?

If I can come, I can bring...

Atrim 1313
Del Tin 2148
Windlass swept hilt raper (ca. 1998)
A&A Schloss Erbach (ca. 2000)
Badger blades cutlass & bastard sword
Hanwei 'practical plus' katana

I can probably make either weekend. I could bring a few swords and maybe some good books I've stumbled across...

The 19th is good for me. I'll probably be out of town the next weekend.

Ed,

Any chance you could do the 19th somehow?

That seems to be the date that is working best ath the moment.

I think the weekend of the 18/19 should work for me too. I'm about 90% sure it's OK.

I've given my wife tentative notice to expect this on July 19 which is a Sunday. Big Grin

I may be doing a concert the evening of the 19th around 6-ish, though I think it's still tentative as of now. It's a concert that our group was supposed to do last weekend but got cancelled b/c of bad weather. Confused

As of now Sunday July 19 the date for this. Location will be in Marysville, Ohio. I'll post detailed driving directions closer to the day of the event. I'll have pool noodles and a not so great cutting stand. If anybody wants to cut something other than noodles please feel free to bring it along (note that I would prefer no animal parts).

Start time is an open question but I'm leaning towards 12:30 PM.

I love the way you think! {noting especially the nefarious pool noodles here!}
