Has anyone ever heard of a bevor/sallet that allowed the wearer to turn their head, perhaps with sliding rivets or a circular lip projecting under the gorget? Just seems obvious to me, and worth the loss of rigidity.

No ideas? How about pre-1500 Italian Armets? Were they all rigid too?
