i've been looking around for rivets of any kind and they all seem to be dead ends, help anyone ? preferably round headed.[/b]

This eBay store has the smaller dome headed ones of various lengths. I have bought from them before and they are always pretty quick/reliable.

If no one gives you a good link withing a few days, I will contact some armorers I know and tell you where to buy brass rivets. I suspect the information is well know to many people and you will get plenty of options. A quick google search brought up:

rjleahy is a great source. just dont be scared away by the large sum they charge for shipping a small box of rivets.
