Can you help me with this sword?
I found this sword on kovex arms catalogue (it's a polish armourer). Would you please help me to define this sword? What kind of curved blade is it, and from what century does this design come from?

Thank you all in advance!

I'm no expert, but the curve in the blade leads me to believe that it might be some kind of scimitar perhaps? can you tell me if the short edge is sharpened?
I really can't say for sure what it's trying to be, but I'll go out on a limb here and say it doesn't appear to be like anything history has left us. It's certainly not an accurate representation of anything I've ever seen. That blade geometry is particularly clumsy and modern looking.

An important thing you didn't mention is that the maker's side says this about it in the "Gothic swords" section:

Quote:
Falchion
forged blade, blade length 54cm, grip length 10cm, total length 70cm, weight 1.3kg

So, given that, I'd say that it's supposed to be a falchion. But really, it's nothing like anything from history.
