hello gents, ,
Polish enthusiasts, amongst them Bartek Siedlar (organizer and fine reenactor, as you can see from his pictures on horseback http://www.hussar.com.pl/5363/zdjecia-z-urocz...-przez-nbp ) and Radek Sikora (young scholar and already the foremost specialist on the history of the winged hussars in Poland ) of the winged hussars created this website as a gateway to the studies on the history, armour, arms, museum collections, images, music, articles and reenactment of the Polish Winged Hussars. Most of the text is in Polish and do rest assured that slowly but surely it will grow to accommodate the rest of the world with its English version (after all English is our lingua franca of XXI century)

the website - http://www.hussar.com.pl
the link to gallery - http://www.hussar.com.pl/galerie-zdjeciowe
amongst many hussar reenactment in Poland groups one is very interesting for they also run the living history site at the Gniew castle in northern Poland, site of the big battle between Gustavus Adolphus of Sweden and Sigismund III of Poland http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polish-Swedish_War_of_1625-1629 - http://www.hussar.com.pl/husaria-w-polsce/cho...iego-gniew
and several of my own little reconstructions, including the late XVIII century winged hussars, - http://www.hussar.com.pl/galerie-zdjeciowe/ga...sza-wielca
do enjoy and if you in Poland around July 4 next year remember that there will be a big reenactment of the Polish-Muscovite battle of Kluszyn (Klushino) of AD 1610, with plenty of hussars in attendance. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Klushino
