This P1854 Scots Guards Officers Sword was made in 1898 for the Honourable Walter A. Trefusis. The sword is in very good condition with very little loss to the plating on the hilt and the scabbard. The blade, fully etched with battle honours, is also in good condition with only a few small dark areas of oxidation. This sword has survived nicely. I can supply additional photos if needed.

W.A. Trefusis served with the Scots Guards during the Boer War; the Egyptian Army as ADC to the Sirdar, Sir Francis Reginald Wingate; and with the Royal Naval Division during WWI. I can supply further details of his life and service upon request.
