hi,
i need a help. i have french small sword. it is broken and i'm repairing it. i have recognized it as the 1767 french small sword but i'm not sure. could anybody help me and say something more about it?
i found any inscription on the blade. is imposible to read it because some letters are smooth(rust pits). i recognized it as the "maisondefevreincamperleap....0" and "...fourbisseur ordinatiae de..." does anybody have any idea what it's mean? do you know any simmilar inscriptions on the swords like that?
i thing in the first part there is name of the owner "maison de fevre" but i'm not sure the letter "M" in the word "camper" maybe it's mean somethin else.
in the second inscription is the word "fourbisseur" what mean "swordsmith" but i can't read first and last part of this sentence. maybe when i will know any examples of the swordsmiths names i will recognize smoothed letters.
thanks for any help
