Hi,
Has anyone else tried to order anything from Albion Europe lately?
My reason for asking is that I placed an order at the end of december 08. Money seems to have been transferred to them shortly after New Year, even though the order is still "pending", and two e-mails have gone unanswered till now. I must admit that this is nerve-wracking. Hence, this post.
Does anyone has any information or find themselves in a similar situation?
Thanks,
Ole

Yep, I had exactly the same problem.
I got an email from Soeren yesterday - he's moving his stock and shipping to Sweden from Denmark. Hence all the delays.
That said, it did take him 6 weeks to ship a sword from stock.
With any luck you should get your sword soon. Just keep hassling him with emails like I did (he must be SO sick of me!)

Hi,
I am still here :-)
My apologies - the start of this year hasn't been as smooth as I had hoped for ;-) I have been moving my storage to a new place (from Denmark to Sweden) .. and it's been a pain... with lots and lots of delays. I had hoped to ship all orders early this week but at the last second there were some trouble with shipping :-( However it's all been sorted yesterday and the next days will used preparing everything for shipping tuesday next week. All the moving has kept me from the computer and I will also be catching up on all the emails I haven't had the time to answer. Bad start to the year but it will get better I promise.
Best wishes,
Søren

Hi
I had an order filed with Albion Europe for an Agincourt since a year ago. Scabbard was ready soon but I was unlucky enough to get in the mist of the steel suppliers delays that affected all XVa. Once they got the right steel and the blade was ready, they got a shortage of metal for the casting of guard and pommel. So basically I am getting the sword but piece by piece it seems. I talked to Mike just yesterday and it seems it is actually all this forum gentlemen´s fault … as the Agincourt is less popular than, say, the Talhoffer so availability of casted parts is lower, hence this final wait.
I have to say that, as frustrated as I may be with this long wait (13 months and counting), Soren has kindly offered in several occasion to return the money or change my order to a different sword so no fault there at all.

Hello Sören!
Its really difficult to get in contact with you.
I have sent two emails about changing my order, hope that change will be OK!
Perfect to have Albion Europe in my own country.
Are you moving to Malmö?
Hope everything work out smooth
Best Regards
Stephan

I've suffered a 15 month wait on a Ringeck .
There was a shipping problem early on and then I got caught in the same steel shortage that affected Alfonso.
Now that Soren is settled in his new place I should be getting my sword shipped next week, and I'm sure that once I have it in my hand all the problems will be forgotten.

I just got a message from Soeren telling me that my sword will be shipped next Wednesday. I guess he's busy catching up.

Hi!
I am curious, does anyone actually get their swords delivered? I have been waiting for a Turin for seven months now.

Yes, I did. At the beginning of december I ordered and I got it a forthnight later. I ordered again half of january and about a forthnight later it was delivered. By the way, since you are in Sweden and Soeren's storehouse is in the same country ... either it is not available yet or it doesn't exist. I looked at the site before writing this and I couldn't find a Turin. Which sword do you mean?

Glad to hear the deliveries are getting back on track.
I ordered the Saint Maurice of Turin in August last year. I guess I just have to keep waiting....

To Chad Arnow:
I am sorry, I forgot the Museum Line.
To NJ Sanfrid:
What made you decide to order the Turin. It doesn't appeal to me. Why not the Solingen for example?

My Ringeck arrived two weeks ago.
As I mentioned earlier the wait was a lot longer than I would have liked or expected (ordered in October 2007!), but now that I actually have the sword I feel a lot calmer.
I sympathise with those who are waiting, but it is worth it once you have the piece in your hand.

You could try contacting Albion Swords directly to ask them when your sword will be made.
My Crécy was dispatched from Malmö on 05/02/2009, and arrived shortly thereafter- six weeks after the initial order.
When the sword arrived, the pommel was covered in rust. This was fortunately easy to remedy, and after a polishing the pommel is now up to standard with the blade and guard.

Hello
Sorry to resurrect an old topic but, has anybody been in contact with Albion europe in the last 2 weeks? I am desperately trying to contact Soren but I am getting no reply at all and I must admit the situation is getting to my nerves.
Thank you

Hello!. Last mail contact I had with Soeren was on March 10, 2009, he responded on my initial mail nearly instantly then. Little more than 2 weeks ago, hope that counts.
