I was thinking of hosting a good olde fashioned pumpkin-killing get-together November 1 for folks in southern/central Ohio, northern Kentucky, southwest Indiana or anyone else who wants to suburban Cincinnati.
Anyone up for it?

November 2nd would probably work better for me, as I plan on being up quite late for Halloween. I'll post "unsure" for now.

Hi Chad,
Yeah that should work for me, I will have my Talhoffer in hand and ready to go. I have word that it shipped yesterday.

Christopher,
Hopefully you'll be able to make it. I can't do Sunday or I'd consider moving it.
Ken,
Looking forward to seeing you again.
I'll try to have some pumpkins on hand and will have some pool noodles as well. If anyone wants to bring either or both of those, I'd be grateful.

I desperately need to slaughter some pumpkins. However, I may be in the same position as Christopher with the first not working for me. Sunday would work better. So for right now I'll have to say "maybe".

Hey Chad! Yeah, Saturday the 1st should be okay for me during the day (I may be busy that evening). Sunday's no good because I'm taking my niece & nephews to Kings Island. So go ahead and count me in! -Ted

Chad
I may have to switch to a maybe as my daughters soccer team is now (as of today) in the end of season tournaments and looking to maybe take first place in the division. I think the tournament is Nov 1 but unsure as to time. It may be early enough in the morning for me to still make it. I will let you know for sure as soon as I know.
I will hate to miss it as I am itching to try out my new Talhoffer.

Ken,
I'm sure you daughter will understand the critical nature of the Talhoffer testing that must occur.

Looking forward to this Saturday.
Noon-ish start time? My wife is actually coming down with me so we'll probably head off to shop for a bit or go to the casinos around 5 PM. Wrestling season is fast approaching which will eat up all if our time for several months so we're both looking forward to a bit of silliness.
PS - I have no new swords to share. However, I do have a custom project in the works and a life size design draft from the people making it that I can share.

Noon or one or whenever you get here. The Mrs. will be hanging out with us?
I hope some of the "maybe's" become "yes's" so we have a decent-sized group. Otherwise it'll just be a few of us.
I have an Albion Gaddhjalt that is new to our normal group. I think that's it.

To throw a wrench into the works, my Sunday just (literally) opened up. Would more people come if it were Sunday? Joe, Ted, Ken, would Sunday work better or worse?

Much prefer Saturday. I'm meeting my sister and her kids at Kings Island on Sunday, the park's last day until next April.

My daughters tournament is at 10:00 Sat morning so will be done by about noon. I should be able to get there by about 1:00 so that will actually work better for me as the girlfriend has dibs on my Sunday. (Yes I know too many women with too many demands but what can I do?)

Well, then let's keep it Saturday.
If there are people who could come Sunday but not Saturday, let me know. I might be able to be talked into a sword-filled Saturday and Sunday....

Looks as though I'll be able to make it Saturday after all! And...I think my wife will be coming along (and may bring one or two of her swords, too!). I'll change my vote to "participate". Expect me to bring my Albion Vassal, Del Tin Irish sword, A&A Irish sword, Jake Powning Celtic shortsword, and my Glenn McClain dirks and sgians. See you all there!
P.S. I'll also bring some pool noodles and a few pumpkins.

I picked up 7 pumpkins today.
Have either of the 2 undecideds come to a decision yet?

Yes, and unfortunately I won't be able to make it. Which sucks because I could really go for some pumpkin killing about now. Slaughter a few for me.
