I bought a bare Albion Knecht blade from a forum member a while back and had it sent to Christian Fletcher to get done up nice and purty! Here are the photos he sent me.....

Beautiful! I really like it. What kind of wood did CF use to replace what Albion used for the grip? Bubinga maybe,or perhaps some less exotic wood?

Wow, he indeed made it look different...
I like it, could I not like it?
Did he paint the wood with something? It looks really nice, and I'm pretty sure that "bare" Knecht doesn't look like that.

Really really beautiful.
I have to admit Kriegsmesser never fascinated me that much but seeing this work i do wish i could afford one.

It's kinda funny that this thread got revived because I just came home on Friday from 6 weeks of travel to find this sword waiting for me. It was a lot lighter than I expected and handles great. The "slab" construction of the grip takes some getting used to but feels great. Thanks for everyone's kind comments.
