Pics from the Louvre are going up now. Bronze Age axe and spearheads, daggers, swords, the khopeshes someone was looking for, Greek armor, and a wide variety of other stuff.

Not being a real Bronze Age man, I have to admit..... some of their designs are incredibly beautiful and well made. Some of their daggers, in modern steel, I would have absolutely no problem carrying today into battle (and in my case, this is not a theoretical discussion).. The dimensions, shape and overall look appear to be very well thought out.

Do you have any information on the age and find location for this piece?

I don't remember offhand, i'll have to check but I believe it was in the Mesopotamian collection.

As far as I can tell from the photos before and after it, it is indeed in the Mesopotamian area. Still looking for any infocard pic.

Not sure if I'm coming into this too late, but if you find any time whilst you are in York, and are a little 'weaponed-out' from all those museums, I can heartily recommend making a short visit to Barley Hall in York - a 15th century townhouse which has been preserved and restored to it's former splendour.

We managed to visit the keep, a couple museums,etc but with limited time available, we did the best we could.
