Ireland
Folks,
Has Craig returned from Ireland yet? I haven't heard of his whereabouts yet.
Oh! Thanks for reminding me. I haven't gone to the Museum for a picture trip yet.

Someone wanted the bascinet, and I wanted to get good shots of the ring0hilts and Bronze Age swords...

I'll get it done this weekend, I promise!
Ireland...
Craig,

Ireland is a fantastic country, wherever you go you will enjoy yourself. ! :) One place that you might like to think about is Enniscorthy, Co.Wexford. you can get the train from Dublin down through the beautiful county of wicklow, this is in itself worth the trip! I was there some years ago, as I was engaged to a delightful Irish girl and we travelled around a bit. As I recall, at Enniscorthy there is a castle which does have some armour and weapons in it, though mostly 17th century. There was also a battle there, the Battle of Vinegar Hill, 1798, which if memory serves me right was led by a priest, Father Murphy? Perhaps Jon can correct me if I am wrong. :)
Don't bother about seeing the book of Kells, it is always closed ! :( I must have been there about 20 times and have never seen it yet. When it came to the British Museum I didn't go on principle   Seriously, if you are in the vicinity, try and see it, but don't expect it to be open!
Jon, do they still have Holy hour in Ireland ?

Have fun,

Russ
