Hi there!

I'm planing to build a crossbow, but I'm not sure witch materials I'm gonna use for the bow and string...
What's best for the bow? Spring steel or wood? Lenght of the bow?
Any suggestions on how to make the string?

Alchem offers steel prods, roller nuts and strings.

Even if you don't want their products, you might be interested in the detailed plans they offer for free on that page.

Hi Vegard,
The Book of the Crossbow by Ralph Payne-Gallwey, has all the info you need to make a historically correct bow. Tods Stuff in the U.K. supplies complete bows or bits for building your own. Hope this helps.
Regards,
Norman.
