Hi people.

I did a search but over 3000 entries came up, so I am hoping that someone might be able to point me in the general direction.

I have just purchased an Albion Clontarf and I would like to attempt to make a scabbard. I have a nice plank of poplar that should make a nice core, but I am intrigued by the fleece lining and various other aspects of the construction.

Are there any tutorial type links that I can read?

THanks for your patience.

Cheers

Jason

I used to have a PDF on it, but I have since lost it (someone screwed up my other PC). I've given it to many others here, though.

This might help
http://www.myArmoury.com/talk/viewtopic.php?t=4951
or even this
http://www.alleycatscratch.com/lotr/Weapons/ScabbardStepBy.htm

Lining is traditionally done from sheepskin( many people believe that sheep hair grease has a positive effect on the forged blades)
I just got a sheepskin for $25 from http://www.eleatherworks.com/home.php?cat=587
more then enough for a one longsword scabbard lining maybe even two.
