I have both a bated darkwood armory blade as well as the del-tin bated blade and both seem very comparable, only difference I could see was that the ricasso width is 1" wide on the del tin while the darkwood blade is 7/8" wide.
Darkwood have added two new swords to their basket hilt line; English Baskethilt IV (1590) and Schiavona Type II (1600). Just scroll down to check out the new hilts: http://www.darkwoodarmory.com/baskethiltedswords.shtml

Maybe these recent updates will herald some pics of the new sidesword and longsword models?

Best,
Jonathan
Has anyone got anything to say about their "Max Wax?"

I would be curious to hear about this, also. I vaguely recall someone mentioning a combination of beeswax and olive oil (which this "Max Wax" is) on the forums some months ago, so, with luck, that person or persons will speak up :D .
Darkwood Armory has some nice new products available I thought you all might find interesting and appealing:

Sabers and curved swords: http://www.darkwoodarmory.com/sabers.shtml

Basket Hilts: http://www.darkwoodarmory.com/baskethiltedswords.shtml

Practice Longswords: http://www.darkwoodarmory.com/plongswords.shtml

"Collector's Rapiers": http://www.darkwoodarmory.com/col_rapiers.shtml

I have seen more than a few swords I would buy if I had the cash!

Best,
Jonathan
Argh, many of the high-res photo links are broken.

I just noticed that, too. I hope they get them fixed soon!

Just out of curiosity, how flexible are their longsword blades? It says that the longsword blades are the same as the sidesword blades but longer. Also, is it possible to get a handle that is longer than 7"? That seems a tad short for my liking.
