Just got an e-mail notice from Abe Books. The cheapest copy of Records in hardcover binding they had listed was $249 ! Wow, I had no idea prices had gotten that high. Those of you with hardcover copies might want to hold on to them!

Amazon has it new for $50.00, as well as a few used ones starting at $50.00 and going up to about $160.00. Of course, I ordered it in late March and have yet to receive it...
Also picked up The Rapier and Smallsword for a cool $100.00. That's another one that might be good to snap up while they're still out there for the taking.

That makes sense. I didn't even see an option for a softcover. Oh well. I don't mind paying $50.00 for a paperback (I'll just pretend that I'm back in college!), but I would like it to actually arrive someday.
Caveat emptor, indeed.

Thank you very much for your post Nathan This is a book I would love to have in a hardback copy. I am one who very much prefers hardback books and willing to pay the extra money. I too would have returned the paperback copy.
I appreciate your post, I was about to delve into this with Amazon until I read your post which saved me a lot of time and forthcoming aggravation!
Thank You Nathan!
Bob

I have the paperback version and have been very disappointed with it. The binding has come loose and pages are falling out of it!! This is from what I would call very modest use over a two year period.

Ditto - and I have heard a similar experience from others.
