Does anyone know what happened to the Howard M. Curtis Collection upon his death? Howard Curtis was a Hollywood stuntman, collector of arms and armour and author of a really great book: 2,500 years of European helmets, 800 B.C.-1700 A.D.
While scanning images for this post I realized he had a pretty unique and great collection and wondered what happened to it.
When he died in 1979, was the collection auctioned off? If so, is there a catalogue from that auction?

For anyone curious, the Curtis Collection was auctioned off by Christie's in 1984. Ken Trotman Inc. has a copy of the catalogue for sale. The description states:
1753.THE HOWARD M. CURTIS COLLECTION OF ARMS,- ARMOUR AND BOOKS. 118pp., 57 illus., P.B. Christie's October 1984. Hollywood stuntman (it was he who jumped into the river in Butch Cassidy…) & great collector of arms & armour.
