This is the first installment of new models that will be released over the next year, in addition to the swords already in development.
The Next Generation Stamford Type X
We have received many requests for a Viking sword with a "D" shaped pommel.
The Knud (Canute) Type Xa
This model is in response to requests for a "simplified" version of the Valkyrja-style AE hilt.
The Burgundian Type XVIII
A hollow-ground number for the fishtail fans out there...
The Machiavelli Type XIX
A nice cut&thrust sword with a semi-complex hilt.
Details on these models will be posted on our website in a the next few days.
More to follow over the next few months.

Howie, that is great news. I like the Stamford. Quick question. Is Albion ever considering another Migration era model similar to the first gen type D?

Very cool. I like the Knut and the Stamford a lot!!! It looks to me like the Stamford will share the blade of the Reeve and Bayeux and the Knut may have the Norman/ Senlac blade. Is that correct, or will these swords have new blades? Either way, I like them a lot!!!

The blade profile on the Burgundian (are we sure that a name like "The Florentine" isn't more appropriate for something so flamboyant and unabashedly-Italian?) is very elegant. Is it a new pattern? Or a modification of something like the Kingmaker?
It's also refreshing to see a very Viking hilt on a longer, Xa/XI blade. It's often easy to forget that blades fitting into Geibig's Type 5 were still Viking-era blades, since virtually everyone only offers that blade style with a Cruciform hilt. I think that was a good call, on the part of your development team.
I definitely look forward to more information on that pommel on the Stamford, too...

I really like the Stamford and the Burgundian. Normally, Viking swords fall out of my area of interest, but this one sorely tempts me. I also like the fact that the Burgundian is a type XVIII, rather than XVIIIb. Though the XVIIIbs are very nice swords, they're a bit over-represented compared to the other varieties of XVIIIs out there.

Howie, all four are beautiful, I especially like the type X Stamford and the Machiavelli Type XIX. As I've stated before, I definitely want to add a few more Albions to my collection and though I only have the Berserkr at present, I am a huge fan of your Viking Swords! The "Vassal" Falchion Sword is my single handed "Pride and Joy", this sword is the very definition of the word "Responsive"! The Knecht and the Dane both speak boldly to me, only so much money, therefore I cannot buy all that I want and must make selections. 
Great looking swords !

I think the Stamford type X is going to be a popular sword........because I want one too!!!! 
I also like the Burgundian, but alas, I must put such distractions aside, and continue saving for my Yeoman!

I am soooo glad you put that pommel on a type X. I'm still awaiting the arrival of two Albions (a Senlac and a Reeve), and now I want this one. How 'bout I just give you my bank account number, and ya'll can empty it out, since thats whats gonna happen anyway 
The Knud is nice too...
When will these be availible on the site for advance reservation?

Question on the Stamford, Howie.
Is the Type-X blade from the Reeve/Bayeaux (I assume so) or is it from one of your Type-X Vikings?
I think this one will be a nice hit for y'all.

I'm glad to see some early compound hilt styles being represented, and I think all three of the swords look very nice.
Is there any news on when the so far un-produced NextGens will be coming out? I am particularly interested in the Tyrolean, the last I heard it was at least a year away...

Regarding the Stamford- I was hoping for a tea cozy pommel paired with a type XI. I especially hope that the Stamford does not share the blade of the Reeve as I cannot bring myself to buy two swords with the same blade.
Kind of disappointed . . . . I guess you can't please everybody.

I will half echo Jeremy here. Although I am quite glad it is on an X, since they fall within my period of interest, I hope its not the same blade as the Reeve and Bayeux. Both Reeve and Bayeux are on the small end of historical examples. I hope it is a beefier example of the type.
I'll still end up getting one though, even if it is the same blade as my soon-to-be-here Reeve, since I love the tea-cozy pommel...
