I am new to sword collecting and am interested in a sword advertised by Darksword Armory. I can't find any reviews of their products. Can anyone recommend them?

Well, that seems to answer that question. Thanks for the input. I have recently started a class in German longsword fencing and am looking for a reasonably priced sword, say $200.00 to $ 450.00. I like the looks of the MRL 15th Century longsword, but I am open to suggestions. I'm looking for a live blade to practice at home on my pell.

Sorry about that Chad.
Curt, MRL is not known for quality. In that range, Albion has a good sword in their "Maestro" line.

MRL's quality has improved quite markedly in the last few years. They are probably the best option in the sub $300 range. If you can spend up to $450, though, go with the Albion.

Thanks for the help. I'm looking at Arms and Armor Fechtbuch and Fechterspiel swords as well. One can never go wrong spending a little more to get the best.

Yep. I look back on my early purchases and wonder if I wouldn't have been better off saving a little more to get better stuff, while using the time to learn more about the whole hobby. Of course, the market was very different 10 years ago when I started collecting: no Atrim or Albion, the internet hadn't yet brought together the many individual smiths out there, etc.
By the way: I know nothing about them, but MRL just introduced a line of blunts. I wonder what effect they'll have on the market.

My one handed blunt is by Hanwei manufacturers. It's fairly nice.
