This is something that's been bugging me for a while.

How fast does a crossbow bolt travel in Feet Per Second if the pistol crossbow has a 50 lb. draw weight?

When I calculated it, the speed was around 165 FPS. Is this correct?

Some manufacturers quote up to 200 fps. I doubt the one we have even gets quite the 165 that you calculated, but it's probably the right ballpark.
