For anyone in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, or within driving distance: I'll be hosting a cutting party at my house on May 5th (Happy Cinco de Mayo!). We'll start around 2pm and go till we're tired, out of materials, or its dark. All are welcome, just please let me know if you're planning to attend so I can have enough snacks/drinks available.

We'll be cutting pool noodles and whatever else people bring to cut. Happy Bring whatever swords you want to.

Our kitchen remodel may not be quite done by then, so you may have to excuse some boxes and stuff here and there.

Happy

O' I'll definitely bring it.

And Joe, I would love to check out your Earl since I missed the pumpkin cutting last fall.

Would more people come if I bring beer instead of swords or pool noodles? Big Grin

Joe,
Maybe it'll just be the "normal" crew. I'd love to meet some new people, too though, so I'd encourage any forumites within driving distance to come, hang, out and cut. You don't even have to bring any swords (though please feel free to if you have any). Many different makers will be represented, too, so this is a chance to handle some things before you decide on a purchase. There will be A&A, Albion, Armour Class, ArmArt, Tod's Stuff, Vince Evans, and whatever other folks bring. Happy

We don't bite (too much Happy ) and it's always fun. My place is pretty easy to get to, just a few turns off the highway. I'm between Cincinnati and Dayton, so Indianapolis is ~90 minutes away, as are Louisville, Lexington, Columbus, etc.

Happy

Oops.
I clicked where I shouldn't have, it seems.
Could you delete me from the "participate" list please?

I can't, unfortunately. You can go back to the top, and click one of the other statuses (like "do not participate) to change it. Thanks!

Well just shot off an order to Lutel. Definitly won't have it in time for this. Pretty much runs me through my sword spending funds for the year...in fact pretty much runs me through all of my toy spending fnds for the year. I cannot wait for my kid to graduate and get out of my wallet. Big Grin

Any other takers? You don't need to be an expert (none of us are) and you don't even have to bring a sword. Come hang out, chill out, flail at foam, etc. We're nice people. I know there are more Ohioans and northen Kentuckians, and Eastern Indianans out there. Happy

We'll start at 2:00 or whenever people get there. If people want to bring snacks, drinks, etc., I won't turn them down. We can grill out or go get dinner when we've exhausted ourselves or the cutting targets.

Many of us are also old and out of shape so exhaustion does not normally take that long to achieve.

I wish I could come, but its a bit far for me. Since the event will be Cinco de Mayo, as Chad mentioned, maybe you should bring margaritas instead of beer?

All right guys, looks like it will be a small crowd (though folks are still welcome). We'll start at 2:00 or whenever people get here. Happy
