I tried again with my Nikon digital camera and was able to better adjust the white balance. I also had a sunny day and placed the sword under the porch of my dad's shed with the sun behind it. I had only ambient light on the sword that was very flat. I also found that taking pics with the camera's highest resolution helped out a lot. Some of you have asked for some numbers on the sword so here goes:
O.L. 47 1/4"
Blade Length: 36 1/4"
Handle Length: 8 1/2"
Pommel Height: 2 1/2"
Weight: 3 lbs 5oz
COB: 5 3/4" from the crossguard
COP: 22" from the cross
The sword is easily usable with one hand and though, the Center Of Balance may be a tad far out for some, it feels beautiful to me. The pommel is attached by means of a hex nut buried deep within the beautiful Patrick Hastings pommel. I have yet to figure out how Kevin did this, but it works solidly. EVERYTHING, on this sword is a tight, precise fit. The shoulders of the blade and the tang are among the beefiest I have ever seen. This weekend I hope to get some calipers on the blade and let you guys see what I mean. I can also post some pics of the tang itself. I hope everyone enjoys the pics and the info.
