New from JT
Okay, the blade material and blackening of the hilt makes this a fantasy sword, but as the design is historical I thought it would still fit here. So JT has put up some pics of a blade he made recently for Guy Windsor. You can see the pics and info here. Actually why not post the pics straight here:

I've seen this blade live and it's gorgeous. The hilt looks like it's quite light in the pics but it is actually blackened. The scabbard is just awesome and accepts the crossguard with a satisfying gulp.. You can bet that everything from the point of balance to the direction of the patterns on the blade is just as the customer wanted them to be. Just thought I'd share.
That's a very nice sword there! Methods of construction aren't quite historical as you noted but it's a "fantasy" piece that I wouldn't mind owning. Valerian steel anyone? :)
Wow. That is very nice. Of course, it should be for the €4000+ stated price.
