Spanish 2 hand Falchion & Scimitars?
I'm following up an early 16th century source that makes references to Spanish Falchions and Scimitars being used with two hands. I've not seen or heard of such things and was wondering if anyone had any insights? Thoughts I did have was wondering if these may have been imported German Grosse Messers or some early Swiss sabers?
In the Mac bible there are a number of two handed falchion, chopper swords. There are other examples as well from the 13th to 15th in art hisotry as well as a few existant artifacts but in the 16th I could not help. Sorry hope it helped alittle.

Sounds like a Venetian Storta to me.

thanks
Interesting piece

Though I'm doubtful if it was used with two hands.
but it fits into the right time period.
