First of all, hello !
(I'm a newcomer here, so i may do a few errors in this post, and i apologize for it)
I was asking myself if people here had any informations on early european medieval daggers. As you probably know, whatever the forms and shapes, medieval daggers were a pretty common thing through the middle ages, but from what i could gather around the internet, i can't find much evidence of them prior to the 12th century, making it seem like they just randomly appeared out of nowhere.
So i was wondering if any of you on this forum knew anything about european medieval daggers from the Early Middle Ages. So far the only thing i saw from this period was saxes, so i'd be thankful if someone could give me hand.
Thanks in advance, Elio.
Antennae style daggers were used from the 11th to the 14th centuries. Pictured here -one made by Tod Cutler
