Testing out a sinosword custom nagamaki / zhanmadao (modified from their 9260 miaodao) on upper arm / shin level targets.
Great video, thanks for sharing. Really teaches a lot with your thorough explanation. I like how you really wound up for that first cut and while most people would have overpowered, you dialed it back for the rest of the cuts. That second cut! Nice! Horizontal cuts were great, some incredibly fast. 4:34 min. was a great cut too.
Shame about the stand! I'd be interested in a video about your targets. Why do you like ppr instead of cpvc for the core? Seems like pvc can shatter and splinter. Did you say 40mm, so 1 1/2 inches?? Wow. What's the foam rubber shell?
Really too bad the sword was damaged when it arrived, but you did fix it up well, good review and great cutting as always Lancelot.

Hello. Thanks for your kind words and watching the video. PPR pipe is more ductile and less prone to shatter than PVC. It was 4.2mm wall thickness with 2.5cm diameter as upper arm / shin bone simulator. The muscles simulator was soaked newspapers. Peter Johnsson also recommended this kind of target as simulator.
I can fix the the hilt and the bend, but can't fix the heat treat though. :( The sword is so soft that just bend back and forth on every cut basis.
Sinosword did a 40 USD refund.
