I have 5 swords I would like to have appraised. Can a recommendation be made for an appraiser here in Alaska? Thanks for your help.
Man, it's been about 20 years since I was in Alaska, but there was an antique shop in Anchorage with a nice suit of Japanese armor, overpriced. Anyways, I'm not sure that's the best route since the dealer probably wasn't a specialist in blades, but it could be a lead. I have no idea if he is reputable but I'm pretty sure this is the same guy and he does deal in militaria. As a fair appraisal, I don't know, dealers can be all sorts. If you are looking for a valuation for an estate it might be ok. If you are looking for a valuation for a sale, you might look out of state.

Other than that, you might try asking some various sword appreciation societies in Vancouver or suchlike and see if you can find someone that way.

Thanks J. I am going to Anchorage tomorrow to meet with him. Excellent advise. Again, I thank you.
