Months ago I and Simon designed a sword to be made by Longship Armoury but I proceeded to get a prototype from Lung Chuan first. The Lung Chuan one arrived today. I spent 1.5 hours to put a DMT 8000 edge on it and then tested it out.
That's very impressive to watch, Lance. I found this video more enjoyable than some of the others you've posted - it's nice to have some more details included on the approach you follow with a test.
Watching this, I'd like to ask you where your various martial sources come from - my primary focus in on Western sources, and to me, I almost see some longsword or montante techniques present (which may just go to show how universal a sword really is). I just figured I'd try and probe you for what you have adapted to your own general practice considering the spread of information you're familiar with.

Hello. Thanks for watching. :D Many friends said this video showing how much work I've done to the sword and the dry handling are much better to watch than just to cut indeed.
I have studied German longsword before in 2006, and since plenty of my friends were involved in Japanese swordsmanship, I'm exposed to those since earlier time as well. Since 2008 I had studied Chinese swordsmanship. So nowadays I develop my own style from these sources.
