Hi All,
This sword is of a very distinctive type with a type U pommel and often mounted on a guard with a downturned cross and a stout blade, often an estoc and late 15thC in dating.
This piece is not based on any particular example but made in the style of existing pieces and sports a substantial broad but stiff blade.
Overall length 46"/117cm
blade length 36.25"/92cm
weight 3lbs9oz/1630g
POB 4"/10cm from guard
COP 26"/67cm
blade at guard 9 x50 mm
blade at 30cm 7x45mm
blade at 60cm 5.4x34mm
blade at 5cm from tip 4x16mm
I hope you like it.

Wow! Mr. Todeschini I hesitate to call anyone "gifted', especially when so much acquired skill is involved, but damn! You have a gift!
That is a stunning sword, and the detail in the tooling of the leather wrapped grip is too cool.
I seem to almost exclusively see the Type U pommel on swords from the UK, but maybe that's just my imagination, or perhaps the A&A "English Longsword" planted that notion in my mind.
Was that style more popular in the UK than on the Continent?
Curious...

I'm always in awe of your swords and other pieces... they definitely have a special place in my heart! Congrats for this beautiful work!
That's impeccable and beautiful!
Thanks everyone, that is very kind and very welcome. It is this kind of support that keeps you going when you don't see any outsiders for days.

For some reason I though that these were more of a German thing, but you are the second person to say this so I guess I am wrong; thanks for letting me know.
