Have you ever been browsing the net and came on a sword that you had to say" WOW..I wish that was mine!" but know
for some reason it never will be,too expensive or to rare or to exclusive. Well I invite you to share your pain:-)

I'd have to say I agree with you on your pick there. I love that messer.

What really hurts is that I had an opportunity to purchase this sword. But with two kids entering daycare at the time I was too uncertain about my finances. Probably should have sold off half my collection for this one.

Du Sith would be a very close second for me. I thought very hard about buying that one myself and never did. That was around the same time I picked up my Svante, so I think I figured I'd thrown enough money at swords for a while. I was a fool! A fool, I say!

Similar daggers were made of iron in later centuries, and I'm planning to try to grind one from mild steel for Achaemenid reenactment, but nothing has the romance of bronze -- a sword from the same period as the Trojan War, the Sea Peoples, the Exodus, perhaps even the time of Zarathustra.

Probably everything from TEMPL. An example is the Sword n° 223.

As long as we are wishing, my list would encompass many. Both reproductions and period swords call me at a wide range of budgets. I suppose something I'd really want is a sword from Michael Bell. A katana I should have ordered twenty years ago.

At the top of my watch lists right now is an early 19th century eagle pommel. Something I don't really need but to have just because. I suppose if I rotated some of what I already have, I could scratch that itch. Low four figures, why not, right?

Yes, I may have a slightly unhealthy fascination when it comes to that particular albino.

I know this is not exactly from browsing the net, yet for me it's clearly the sword Robert Môc made on a commission from Tim Lison based on the monster long 1-handed Danish Esrum Lake sword.
Why this one? Because I helped research it going through old Danish books :lol:
Some day I'll have to get my copy as well ;)
