Hi Folks,
I bought this Sabre approx. 30 years ago at an antique event. As you can see from the markings she is marked 1830 and in great condition for a sword approx. 185 years old.
Can any kind member tell me more info about the Sabre.
I was told she was a German cavalry sabre. I have attached a few photos of other markings on the hilt and blade.
I was hoping to discover a bit of history with her and her approx. value.
Thanks Folks

I don't know all the regiment designations but the T.P.D. has got to be a railway police regiment. Dale Martin over at Sword Forum International would know instantly.

The 10 preceding that a regiment or battalion and the small number after the weapon number. It appears to be a Prussian/German m1830 used up into the late 19th century (1875 on the guard?). Also the 86 following the 1830.
What does the scabbard look like? A bit odd that there isn't an imperial crown shown on the spine.
Cheers
