Hello everyone. I need more information on the pictured harness. I would like to know what country it's from, if it was a knightly armor or not, the source of the drawings, and the time period.
This looks like it could make a nice unique harness that won't break the bank too badly for me sometime in the future, so any info I could get on it would be very helpful.
Thanks

My guess is Northern Italy late 15th century, maybe the first decade or two of the 16th century. That doesn't mean it was only worn by Italians or that it's even a peculiarly Italian style, Milan produced a ton of armor like this for export. The common concept of "knight" wouldn't really apply but it's the kind of armor that would have been worn by someone who was at least upper middle class/patrician cavalry. It is really cool!
