This is the sword inspired by Mazarine Bible sword - but also based on museum examples of Types XIV and XIIIb.
This work was preceded by research of these types and its parameters...

The sword is fully functional of course, like everyone I made - heat treated, well balanced, good weight, sharp - in my opinion - feeling of real medieval sword in hand...
Grip lenght is not too short, adapted also for armoured hand.

My point was also give him the character of old, used weapon -
maybe not from the museum, but simply "taken from the 14th century battlefield..."
(btw - there is no rust on steel - it`s natural patina...)
This sword can be used also for I:33 training with buckler...

Maciej this is beautiful work, especially the flat hexagonal blade section which is rarely represented in modern reproductions. Maybe the same section on a big XIIa or XIIIa war sword next?

Jonathan - yes, I `m glad you see this cross-section details :)
I have in plans make some long swords XIIIa or XVIa with that cross-section. it is quite popular in 14th C. especially in Germany and Poland we have many examples. this is very strong and also stiff blade type - I like it. well - I will do it :)

I also want to confirm making scabbard for this sword.
the scabbard will based on 14th century examples from effiegies, manuscripts illustrations and finds - fully historical and also aged like the sword :)
