Its not that I think you are all fascinated by my comings and goings of life, but I have some things going on that may effect customer service and manufacture and its always best to keep people informed.

Last July I lifted my workshops to stop them flooding in the future (very necessary) and them immediately knocked down my house and started to build another. t turned out that the labour needed constant supervision and I thought I would need to input a couple of hours a day and in fact I was on the project full time from the start, unable to escape. Needless to say this impacted my productivity and is the reason I have not been posting any new work for a long time.

I did anticipate this to a certain extent and so had scheduled my work so that I have not had to disappoint many customers; however I did not anticipate a near complete stop to my income and so when I was offered 6 months solid work just before Christmas I had to accept. This has now clearly caused a substantial scheduling problem, which I have notified my customers about. I am flattered and moved that every single outstanding commission has elected to keep their place and wished me luck - publicly I would like to thank all my customers for this.

I will be away for 4, 4 week periods, with 1 week back home for the next 5 months and then another month later in the summer. This will allow me to come back and do small projects and scabbards will also fit into this pattern.

What this will mean practically is that I will be taking sword scabbard commissions, but that they may take 2-3 months rather than the usual 1-2. Other commissions will be delivered from October onwards. Email may be tricky at times and so my responses may be delayed.

English Cutler and Tods Foundry will be unaffected.

So, first stop is Warsaw, if I have one day off where do I go?

If I went to Warsaw for only one day, I would visit the Museum Wojska Polskiego, The museum
of the Polish Army, which, as I remember covers every period, much like the Musee D' Larmee in Paris.
Please don't laugh, but I went there last in 1958 when I was a child, I was heartbroken, because it was
closed for renovation, a common event in those post-war days.
