Hello everyone!
I wanted to practise my inlaying skills a bit, so I made this, according to several finds from late 8th/early 9th century, central Europe. And I thought, why not share the result?
Tell me what you think!
Sincerely,
Ondřej
Looking good! It is obviously not machine perfect, but I think it adds to beauty!
I like the organic lines, Ondřej.
I like both the linework and the color contrast. It looks good, but isn't over the top or strangely sumptuous.

I’ll second this thought. In my opinion, any object that is too perfect or machine perfect doesn’t feel right. This feels, and looks, right.
Thank you gentlemen!
Good Morning Andrew,
Quite the attractive buckle and end piece. I saw them on your face book page and wondered where they were going. Your new scabbard is very interesting also, I think the buckle fits it well.
