I'm looking for late medieval axes with inscriptions.
I know only one from late 16th century from Czech:

And scottish or irish from 16th century.
Arms and Armor makes a Hungarian axe, very similar to the one in your photos. I'll bet they can etch/inscribe it any way you want. Best be ready to have a full pocketbook, though. ...McM
Oh, I was misunderstood.
I need sources, not reconstructions :)

Sorry....I guess I misunderstood you. The A -A axe is a nice one though. :D ...........McM
If axes had inscriptions on them in the late middle ages, they wouldn't show such marks as the example you posted. As that is acid etched, and in the middle ages, up until the XVth century, they did such decoration with engraving.
So you wouldn't have such crisp lines.
Maybe a cross or a name, but nothing more.
