Books on the Hundred Years War
... For the layman.

My knowledge of medieval history is infantile compared to most of you, so I am hoping that you could recommend some good, but accessible, books on the subject of the Hundred Years War. I've read articles on here and elsewhere pertaining to the battles of Poitier, Crecy, and Agincourt. They've piqued my interest.

Any recommendations?
Start with Sumption's books.
I can't vouch for its historical accuracy, but Desmond Seward's A Brief History of The Hundred Years War (London: Robinson, 2003) was recently recommended to me as accessible.
Froissart...

But seriously, he's interesting to read after you have a few modern author s under your belt.
