A while back there was a thread about messers or falchions with attached crossbow quivers and there was a nice thread about it here (that I can't find)
I loved the idea of it and so I made on for an Albion Vassal, which is now for sale.
What is interesting is that the quiver can take 3 bolts and so it is not an amount suitable for battle and this was one of the reasons I was curious about it. Last time I saw Toby Capwell we had a chat about this and he thought my theory may be correct in that these were special bolts that were known to shoot well from the owners bow, rather than munition bolts.
Well, whatever the story here it is and I hope you like it.

Tod, that's fantastic - I'm so glad you followed through on this project!
I'm really glad to see one 'in the flesh' ... I'd initially wondered from the period images whether one would be a litte ungainly, but this looks like it would carry just fine.
That's an interesting theory about the number of bolts ... the original images also mostly seem to show only three or four bolts.
For those who want to see more images of these kinds of scabbards and quivers, the original thread was this one: Did combined quivers/scabbards exist?

I have got to ask: how much does it cost? I have been planning on getting a falchion and scabbard for a while, just have not seen any I really like. These are beautiful!

I love it..... Your work is a constant inspiration for me...
If one was mostly doing mass volleys with the munitions bolts one can sacrifice some accuracy, but having a few bolts of known weight and quality for when a precision is really needed and wanted.
Might also be when only a small number of bolt are needed for hunting ?
In any case an interesting project done to the high standards we are very familiar with Leo's work.

Just to make it clear Martin teh sword is the Vassal by Albion and the scabbard is by me. The scabbard and harness would normally be £390, but as it has the quiver it would be £510
