It's been a few months since Albion Europe hosted their 2012 photography contest, but I just wanted to extend my thanks again for hosting such an exciting and generous competition. For my participation Søren shipped me a beautiful NG Chavalier, and since word's don't quite convey my gratitude, it would be more appropriate to say thanks with some more pictures.
Featured here are the Crecy I purchased from Albion US (oxblood grip, aged furniture) and the Chevalier shipped to me from Albion Europe as a contest prize.
Again, I am honored that I was selected, and additionally I want to state to both Albion Europe and Albion America that you have full rights to use this photo however you like if you so choose. It's the least I can do in exchange for the pleasure of owning such amazing products. (I kept the image fairly small here due to upload restrictions, but let me know if you need the high-res version.)

The Chavalier is a wonderful sword - it was a great cutter even for a novice like myself, and the grip wrap design and flower pommel really make it stand out.
The prop was a Danish book of psalms from the early 1700s. A couple of centuries late, but I figured it would make a good backdrop all the same.
Still in the process of saving up enough to commission my first scabbard, but I might make that this year's christmas splurge.

I believe I now have new wallpaper for my PC... I just want to look at this all the time.

Oh, I don't mind it at all. Honestly I've been too busy staring at the swords to notice the borders.

I'll be getting my Crecy soon, probably this month, it occupies my thoughts everyday. I'm trying not to think about it so much but it's awfully difficult.
