I am thinking of putting a style 3 cross on a Xa/ XI-ish blade I am working on and would like to find some historical examples. The only one I have been able to find so far is NM 11840 in National Museum of Finland, pg 132 of Ian Pierce's Swords of the Viking age and the one of unknown (to me) provenance shown in the second pic down in the Geibig typology article. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Edit: the sword on the left in the third pic too.
A few more style 3 crosses: http://www.club-kaup.narod.ru/rec/books/kazak...5_orig.jpg http://www.club-kaup.narod.ru/rec/books/kazak...2_orig.jpg http://www.club-kaup.narod.ru/rec/books/kazak...9_orig.jpg http://www.club-kaup.narod.ru/rec/books/kazak...1_orig.jpg
Seems like style 3 was very popular in the Baltic region from the 11th C on.
