Many of you may know Ben from his posts here at myArmoury. Ben has shown us some of his fabulous work at the Makers / Manufacturers forum.
Let me tell you, Ben loves daggers and has a fine array to choose from. This particular dagger model is Forged In Time's 'Aggressor'.

While not a reproduction of a specific historic example, it captures the deadly flair that was evident in many medieval period daggers.
This dagger has a real feel of substance and is well finished with a nice sheen that is not overly bright. The pommel and guard have dramatic visual appeal, and this piece is built to last. This is quality work.
I requested a dark gray calf leather that wraps around an ash grip. The calf adds a nice, comfortable, but secure feeling in the hand. The scabbard is of the same gray calf, nicely fitted around the blade. Not pictured is a black calf frog which will accommodate a nice wide belt. It all makes for a striking package.
There are multiple options in steels, woods, and leather at a base price that is hard to beat.
IMO, Ben Rial is a sleeper. He does high quality work, but goes relatively unmentioned in many collecting circles. Plus, he's a true gentleman who will gladly work with your specific requests. With this first time order from Forged in Time now in hand, it's certain that I'll be back for more. A fine product, excellent experience. I can't wait to get my mitts on one of his swords.
I hope you enjoy The Aggressor.
Jon
