Hello
I'm making a baselard inspired by 14th century pieces.Total lenght circa 36,5cm.
It is single bladed with a groove on one side. I made a strong distal taper (from circa 4.5mm to 1.4mm) and reinforced tip. The idea was to have the cutting performance of a knife while keeping the ability to stab. I used the same steel as tested in one of my movies:

The blade has circa 56-57HRC and is really hard to brake. I've done some bendig that shouldn't be done on a knife , but it survived. I love this steel :D Anyway it is definately not a crowbar. ;)
Check a short movie on YT, showing a few steps of production, stabbing and bending.

What do you think?
Michal,
I think this dagger is going to look fantastic. I like the reinforced point or tip.
Are you going to use wooden scales on the grip?
I look forward to seeing the finished dagger.
Is this a commission or will this be up for sale?
I am very interested.

Peter,
thanks for the kind words :)
The scales will be wooden (probably plum wood).
This one is a commission. However I think I'm still young enough to make a few more daggers :D so don't worry. ;)
