...on the Thirty Years' War?
I have Wedgwood's book, as well as Parker's, and while very comprehensive, they're just very... dry.
At the risk of being labeled parochial, I was hoping someone could recommend something on the Thirty Years' War which is more readable, or dare I say, entertaining.
Thanks in advance.
Herbert Langer's " Thirty Years War " is pretty good. It's out of print but can be got second hand for not much http://www.abebooks.com/servlet/BookDetailsPL...4%26y%3D16
Thanks for the link, Allan.
If you're not looking for something very scholarly, have you run across Schiller's rather dramatic retelling? (He's the guy who wrote the play Wallenstein, by the way, if there's anybody reading this thread who hasn't heard of him.)
