Can you identify this axe?
Hello,
Does anybody know anything about this axe?
I found the picture halfway down the right side of this page
http://www.hurstwic.org/history/articles/manu...ng_axe.htm
Cheers,
Tom

Well, it looks like a Petersen type M to me. So that would make it a 10th or 11th century probably.

Hrm, it seems this axe is in a private collection so all I will ever know about it is that picture. It looks like it is a small Petersen type M (at least to my eyes). I figure it would probably make a good one-handed axe head.
