3rd Antique, German Hunting Sword(3pics)
Picked this one up today for $60, needs a new scabbard (original is lacking chape and leather is hard and cracking) and the brass pommel cap is missing so I need to get in contact with 2 guys that I was referred to by a friend who are able to bring this German Hunting Sword back to life...Blade is in good condition with no nicks or bends with patina and some rust...I have no clue as to what year it would be dated and no info was given when I bought it....

Hi Ben,
How are things shakin' there in Calif.?

I'm not an expert on swords of this type, but I think your sword would be dated in the early to mid 1800s.

Hey ElJay, thanks on the date.
here we only feel the 4.5+ but you know where my Dad lives so his house has been rocking...was on the phone with him and he said sh$#t there is another! So I counted seconds from the time he said it hit but did not feel it, wanted to see who long it would take to reach here...here is a link to all the earthquakes that have hit down there plus others...insane!

I have my 4th antique coming in from Steven and will post up some pics when it arrives ...After checking out your amazing stuff when we met the 2nd time and from the sword-get-2gether we had here, I am hooked on the antiques now!

Oh no! Someone else infected with the dread Antique Sword Virus!
