Having received request for less expensive swords with thicker hand forged blades and forged guards I decided to incorporate these features in to the new line of swords from Privateer Armoury.

Hey Ben, wow have you been busy lately, or what? Love the new pieces on the website. I just can decide which line I like better. It's great to see someone who can cater to all price ranges $200 - $500, $500 - $1000, and high end custom work. All I can say to you is keep up the good work, and I hope the quarterdeck line is a great success.

In the $500 to $1000 range the Quarterdeck look very appealing as a mid range in cost option to me with $750 being the optimum price for me in the sense that when closer to the $1000 I would be at the border of either it being too expensive for this line and tempted to go a bit higher for an even more custom product i.e. At $1000 I might think of spending more for custom or not at all ...... which bring me back to between $500 & $750 where I can more comfortably do impulse buying.

Obviously the details of the specific sword can tempt me to go higher on the the price range.

The Foredeck are an intriguing, and low cost option, but maybe a little too Spartan for me and I do like a thicker blade although the very thin blades might be surprisingly effective.

All this said the value for money does seem very favourable in the example of a Quarterdeck sword shown and a real bargain for the quality of custom work. ( Sort of high end " munitions " weapons with slightly less work put into details and finish that would be work and time intensive ).

This messer is beautiful. From the stats, I'd imagine it handles nicely too.

Probably your best messer so far. Great blade shape as usual but I really like the guard on this one!
