Here is a German 15th Centrury Gothic style 6 flanged mace.
Manufactured in the White Rose Armoury, by Josef Dawes of WhiteWellArms, a sister company to White Rose.
Comprising of 6 4mm thick steel flanges, brass finial of crown design and a 'lock' nut at the base of the flanges. Both are pinned into place with 6 brass pins, interfierance fitted and peined.
The grip comprises of a hexagonal tapering solid ash grip, with black dyed veg tan sleeve sewn and brass pinned to the grip itself. A large hexagonal handguard and a flush hexagonal cap and decorative brass nut all locked into place with the shaft being peined over the brass nut, finished with a lanyard for safety whilst using the mace.
This mace is intended for use on horseback for skill at arms. It has been manufactured for practical use and also for display purposes.
Made from scratch by hand in the White Rose Armoury in England.
