Based on the visual evidence, for anyone of status - or aspiring to status - would be wearing joined hose (I shall use the more common English terms rather than the French/German terms preferred by Americans). That would include most soldiers.
Single leg (unjoined) hose, held with multiple points to a doublet, seem to be fairly common. They are also a good combination of coverage and movement.
Single-leg, single-pointed hose would be available, but mainly for those of lower status.
If you have the option get your hose fitted to your leg by a professional hosier. Hose should be skin-tight, which is difficult to achieve off-the-peg (unless you go for modern stretchy materials)

Thanks I will be getting some hose then. On the materials ill be either making or buying some cotton hose wool is just too warm for where i live the ren fest is feb.- march and its still about 80 to 90 degrees outside (i live in a desert). I dont know of and proffesional hosiers or where to find one.
